Valor Home Donation!

January 25th, 2012

Today, The Cpl. Joseph A. Tomci Foundation is proud to announce that we have made a $3,000 donation to sponsor a residence’s room at the newly constructed Valor Home in Akron, OH.

The Valor Home’s mission is to help homeless veterans find and retain permanent housing.  Their newly constructed building will be located in Akron, Ohio and will house up to 30 homeless veterans until they can find a more stable residency.

The Tomci Foundation is a strong supporter of the Valor Home and their mission.  We hope that our donation to sponsor a residency room will have a lasting effect on veterans who use the facility.  To find out more information on the Valor Home, please visit their website http://valorhome.org/.

We are thankful for all of our donations that enable us to support such great causes for our veterans!

501(c)(3) status!

August 23rd, 2011

The Cpl. Joseph A. Tomci Memorial Foundation is now officially a 501(c)(3) charity organization.  This means that Tomci Foundation donors may now deduct donations from their income.

This is an exciting time for our Foundation.  The tax-exempt status now puts us in a position to increase our fundraising efforts, which in return, will allow us to help more servicemembers and their families.

Camp CHOF Donation

May 23rd, 2011

Camp CHOF-Summer 2010

The Cpl. Joseph A. Tomci Foundation recently made a donation of $750 to sponsor 5 children of active military families to attend Camp CHOF in Dalton, OH this summer.  The camp is a 40 acre lot that houses an olympic sized swimming pool, go-karts, paintball, ballfields and much more.  Every year the camp offers 100 campers that have parents in the military a free week of attendance.

We are honored to give this unique opportunity to the kids of military personnel that are protecting our country’s freedom during the current War on Terrorism.  ”I am very grateful for the donation. This is great!”, said Steve Lytle, the camp’s director whose has been in charge of the military program for over 5 years.

Thanks to many generous donators, we were able to give 5 military families a gift that they will never forget.  We appreciate all of our supporters and we look forward to continue to help those who serve our country!
